Le Bonheur Corcodile Farm offers guided tours (which are conducted every half an hour), leading you across open dams via ramp ways. Over a thousand crocs are housed in these dame. Visitors have an opportunity to touch and hold a baby croc, and during summer months, will have the opportunity to witness the feeding of the bigger crocs (please enquire about feeding times.)

HISTORICAL WALKS IN PAARL |

A veritable treasure of architecture is to be found along a 2 km stretch of Main Street, starting at the Strooidak Kerk (Thatched Roof Church), the oldest Dutch Reformed Church in South Africa. Zeederberg Square is surrounded by picturesque Cape Dutch, Georgian and Victorian buildings. Paarl boasts one of only three examples of Egyptian architecture in South Africa! The walk ends at the two museums; Paarl Museum and the Afrikaans Language Museum.

TAAL AFRIKAANS LANGUAGE MONUMENT |

The Taal monument, on Paarl rock, is one of the most famous Afrikaans monuments erected in South Africa and dedicated to the Afrikaans language. It was designed by the architect Jan van Wijk and inaugurated in 1975. The monument is shaped in several tall obelisks style columns erected on the granite of Paarl Rock. The monument, atop Paarl rock, is visible from a great distance as one approaches Paarl.

Limietberg Trail - two-day trail from the foot of Du Toitskloof via Bainskloof village Eerste Tol to Tweede Tol. Distance 36km. Donkerkloof - about 3km (2.5 hours) to the small waterfall starting in the hairpin bend on the Paarl side of the old Du Toitskloof Pass. Miaspoort - distance is 4km (3 hours) but it is a long and initially difficult walk.
